The 4th Annual Atlantic Canada Event Summit was held on March 6, 2018 in conjunction with the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance’s 2018 Sport Event Congress.
Over 75 delegates attended the Atlantic Canada Event Summit which was co-hosted by the Province of Nova Scotia and the City of Halifax at the Halifax Convention Centre.

Luncheon Keynote Address
Nova Scotia’s Andrew Russell competed on the National Sprint Canoe Team for six years competing in several national and international events. Andrew had the opportunity to represent Canada at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The athlete or competitor experience at an event is sometimes overlooked, but it’s often critical to the success of an event. He’ll share his insights into events, as well as his role with Atlantic Division Canoe Kayak Canada and their bid to host the 2022 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Dartmouth, N.S.

The Event Atlantic Society Annual General Meeting is the annual gathering of the organization’s shareholders where the current directors present their reports and an election of officers is held.
From the World Sledge Hockey Challenge to the Tim Hortons Brier and FIBA World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifier, Atlantic Canada hosted its share of great events and there is more to come. Join representatives from each of the four Atlantic Provinces who will provide an overview of sport tourism and event activity in their region over the past year.
