Who We Are
Event Atlantic is a membership-based organization dedicated to strengthening the event and event tourism industry across Atlantic Canada.
We represent and support event hosts, municipalities, destination organizations, and industry partners across all four provinces — Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
Our purpose is simple:
To elevate the growth, development, and sustainability of events in Atlantic Canada.
We believe events build communities.
They drive tourism.
They create economic and cultural impact.
They shape how the world sees our region.
Our Vision
Atlantic Canada is the desired hosting destination and authentic event experience.
Our Mission
To collectively inspire and elevate the growth, development, and sustainability of event tourism in Atlantic Canada.
How We Deliver
We focus on four core areas:
Education & Empowerment
Providing tools, resources, and professional development that strengthen event hosting capacity.
Facilitated Connections
Creating opportunities for collaboration and partnership across provinces and sectors.
Regional Leadership
Championing the value of events and advocating for industry growth.
Organizational Sustainability
Ensuring strong governance, diversified funding, and long-term resilience.
Founding Partners
Leadership & Governance
Event Atlantic is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors representing all four Atlantic provinces and diverse areas of the event ecosystem.
The Board provides strategic oversight and ensures accountability across the organization.
Day-to-day operations are led by the Executive Director, who works with members, partners, and funding agencies to advance our regional mandate.
Event Atlantic was established through the collaboration of provincial tourism partners and industry leaders who recognized the need for a unified voice for event hosting in Atlantic Canada. Our founding members continue to inform and strengthen our cross-provincial network.
We are committed to transparency, regional representation, and strong governance practices.

2. Facilitate Connections
Create meaningful opportunities for networking, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and partnership development.
3. Lead Regionally
Champion the value of events. Strengthen relationships with governments and funding partners. Raise the profile of Atlantic Canada nationally.
4. Strengthen Our Organization
Ensure strong governance, diversified funding, member value, and long-term sustainability.
This plan is about growth.
